When your eyes and skin are yellow does that mean liver failure?

Yellow skin (jaundice) is one of the signs of advanced liver disease, and when your liver stops functioning, you stop too. We cannot diagnose medical problems over the Internet. However, we suggest an immediate medical exam.

Can someone with green eyes and someone with brown eyes have a green-eyed child?

Yes, but only as a medical condition. If you have Jaundice (which affects your liver function), your eyes and skin will take on a yellowish color. The yellow skin is less noticeable on dark skin, making the yellow, jaundiced eyes stand out even more. That's the only instance where people can have yellow eyes. If you are asking about yellow irises (the colored part of your eyes), the answer to that is no, they cannot be.
