Can you sue for custody when the other parent volunteers for an overseas Air Force assignment to keep her from moving the child out of the country?
Are you married? If not, then any branch on the military requires the parent to sign over all rights before deployment (or even enlisment for that matter). My brother-in-law married his child's mother so he could keep rights to his child when he enlisted in the military. I don't know, however, if this is the case in the even of divorced parents. Find out how to contact the appropriate authorities within the Air Force and make them aware of the situation.

What if you live in Iraq and the US Air Force bombed your house accidentally can you sue the US Air Force for damages?
* No, you could not sue for damages. It is a war zone and so you stay at your own risks. * Acts of war are covered by civil law. However in this case and almost all other cases indemnities are signed which prevent legal action. For example the newly constituted Iraqi government (and the US administration which preceded it) signed indemnities with the US so it was not liable for any damage or harm caused. * In other cases the civil action can simply be ignored. For example the US has over 35 extraditions pending for its military and CIA but will never honour them. If they ever were extradited and tried in Spain, Italy, Cuba, Guyana or Angola then they could be liable to a civil penalty alongside their criminal trial
