When in the army, my husband and his fellow soldiers drank mouthwash because they were in boot camp and did not have acess to any Alcoholic Beverages. This is alot more common than many may think, especially in teens. Even up to 8 cap fulls can cause someone to feel intoxicated, but the real question is"Is it worth it?". While it might make you feel drunk for a short amount of time (usually 1-2 hours, not even as long as normal alcohol) the damage to your body will be permanent. I highly advise you to NEVER try this. There is a reason why there is a poison control advisement on the back!!! <<<<EDIT: The alcohol in mouthwash is the same stuff that you would find in your average beer. The poison warning on the back is more or less an insurance policy for the company so that if anything did happen they could not be held liable for damages incurred. SUMMARY: Yes you can drink mouthwash to get drunk. Long term damage is not likely from periodical ingestion. Short term damage include vomiting, gas, diarrhea, and possibly blurred vision.>>>>
