It is better that the doctor gives it the injection, as you may give very strong dose.

I give my dog 25 mg of DPH (diphenhydramine) for alergies, shes about 30-40 pounds... puts her to sleep... you could probably give your cat 12mg or half a tablet.. i got this information from a veterinarian
