If your video contains copyrighted music for which you were not the composer, performer and record producer, you would need a license.

Publication of music without a license can also be a federal crime, not to mention being sued for statutory damages of up to $150,000 in federal court.

The internet hosting site may also remove the violation, terminate your account and ban you from the site for life.

Will itunes music be copyrited on YouTube?

If a song is on iTunes, chances are that there is somebody who holds the copyright rights to the song. If a song is copyrighted by someone somewhere other than YouTube, then the copyright will still apply when the content becomes available and able to be viewed on YouTube.

How do you put songs in YouTube videos that are from itunes without YouTube taking down the audio?

You cannot put commercial music created by someone else on YouTube as it breaks the copyright agreements. You agreed not to do this when you signed up for a YouTube account. YouTube uses special software that can identify music that is protected by copyright and will remove the audio from your video. If they have to keep doing this on your account you will be blocked from using YouTube. (See links below)
