The Lord clearly states in His word, The Bible, that one can not be saved be their own works or their own doings and good deeds.

The Lord is so perfect and holy that nothing we do could ever compare to what he has done for us. Therefore, we are not saved by good works but by faith. Faith in Jesus Christ, God's son who was sent to die for us. God sent Jesus His son to take the penalty of OUR SIN, to die on the cross a criminals death, even though he was perfect.

~Romans 10:13- "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." NLV
God loves you, and wants to give you eternal life with HIm in heaven. ALl you have to do is believe in him, what he did, and that nothing, I mean nothing that you do on your own will ever save you--you can't earn your way into heaven. It is by the divine power of God that we are saved. P.S. Read his word.
