Absolutely ! I have both programs on my Windows 7 laptop - and they both work fine (although I rarely use MS office, as I much prefer Openoffice)

You need at least 256 Megabytes of RAM to use it. You need at least 650 Megabytes available disk space to download it. After it is installed it takes up about 440 Megabytes. It will not interfere with Microsoft Office. You can have both on your computer at the same time.

Yes they do. Open Office will read a multitude of files created on different software programs, including Microsoft Office.
It will open them. Open MS2013 them go to File, then Open and file your 2010 file. Open it. S/b no problem.
