I'm not certain, but I would say not. However, if you do have osteoporosis, I woudl go and get professional advice.

It can be prevented though. In the years leading up to age of around thirty, the body is building its bone density, and it needs minerals, mainly calcium, to do this. Not enough calcium results in a low bone density and so bones become more fragile adn brittle, and osteoporosis can develop. So eat that calcium :)
