Hi,

They probably wouldn't except you. You might make it depending on your M.O.S. but they really need people of sound and body. You really need to be able to keep up with your peers or you will have a very, very hard time. I don't mean to discourage you but it is hard enough for average people to make it as well. If you want to try it, best of luck to you.

Very doubtful. The military needs people in good shape and full abilities to serve in hazardous situations. Having a disability can be a major liability to the individual and his unit.

It is doubtful. There may be some minor degradation to hearing, but you have to pass the auditory level tests.

NO The Military doesn't want to have anything to do with anyone who has a learning disability or a mental problem to join the Military. They want to keep people like that from serving there country. for example if you have ADHD and your on medication for it and you want to join the Military you have to go off you ADHD Meds just to join. Another example if you have anxiety disorder and you are on Medication for that too you have to go off it as well I think you are required to be off any medication for a number of years or something else to show you can mange you medical issues without medication ETC. So basically the Military is doing this to show your not fit to server your country at all. I see this as a type of discriminations to people with a disability to the point were some people get bullied and called un-American for not being able to serve this country and in some case people take is really serous to the point were they end up hurting themselves and become violent and will retaliate and attack anyone who is in the Military for denying them the right to join and defend the country.

You should be able to if you are physically fit.Note: If you received SSI (Supplemental Security Income) 3 years ago, then you must have had a disability. SSI was designed to help aged, blind, and disabled people, who have little or no income.Whatever the disability was it may disqualify you from entering the military unless it has completely gone away. Check with your local recruiter and doctor.
