Also known as "Plant Perception", this theory, first brought to attention by Cleve Backster, claims that plants can read minds, think, respond to threats and thoughts, and might possibly have emotions.

Backster's theory has also been tested by MythBusters, and who were successful in using a polygraph ( a machine that is normally attached to a human. The needle, dipped in ink, wavers on a piece of paper when the human reacts. ) when it responded to various thoughts.
