No they shouldn't they are probably sad that you are growing up really fast but that should be the only reason. It probably makes them worried about you having sex and not making good choices but they will get over it if you prove them wrong. I mean your mother has been through it and so she should not be sad about anything. It is a wonderful thing but yet a not fun thing. But welcome to women hood!

Girls are approximately twice as vulnerable to depression from these factors as boys. The physical stresses of their montly cycle also predisposes girls to hormonal imbalances and depression of varying intensity.
