It might be, i'd bet yes. Since alchemy is basically that alteration of the organization of molecules, using your chi to do it is theoretically possible since there are masters of chi who can use their power to ignite fires. Look up john chang for proof of that. I wouldn't let others opinions discourage you though, it could deffinately possible.
Read up on alchemy and some basic chemistry and you'll see that it's not something to disregard as rediculous
