Of course, it didn't work and perhaps it was not a large enough dosage. But given that the druggist had her use it, it is possible that it was once used to abort a pregnancy.

Yes it worked when I used in one time I was pregnant before marriage in 1959.

It was recommend by my Mother, apparently Quinine was the abortion treatment women used before Birth Control pills to cause abortion of babies(God have mercy on me).
