Splenic trauma is physical injury to the spleen, the lymphatic organ located in the upper left side of the abdomen just under the rib cage. The spleen weighs between 75 and 150 grams (between 0.16 and 0.33 pounds) in adults.
The spleen is located in the upper-left part of your abdomen. It is protected by your rib cage.
The kidneys, liver and pancreas are under the right rib cage. The spleen and gallbladder are also under the right rib cage.
Your rib cage protects lungs, heart, liver and spleen.
Well the rib cage surrounds and protects the heart, lungs, liver, spleen, kidneys and other internal organs from damage from external trauma. So the bones act as a shield for the organs.
spleen
The spleen is particularly prone to injury during abdominal trauma. It may also become painfully inflamed when infected or cancerous. The spleen can become enlarged with some forms of liver disease
Stomach, pancreas, spleen, left kidney.
Essentially drinking can mess up a persons spleen. This is because excessive drinking can damage the liver which causes Cirrhosis. Cirrhosis can cause an enlarged spleen.
There are two organs located below the rib cage near the center of the chest. Both the stomach and the spleen are organs located in this general position on the body.
Lungs, heart, liver, pancreas, gall bladder...
The upper part of the rib cage contains only lungs.
