I was given oxycodone after my recent breast reduction and then developed a cough/sinus infection that is increasing my pain so prescribed the azithromycin. My pharmacist did a search for me and found that there were no interactions and they could be taken together. So that's what I'm gonna do. That's right, there is no problem in taking those 2 drugs together.

∙ 9y agoSuch combinations of antibiotics are not to be used routinely. Here the erythromycin is bacteriostatic in low concentration and should not be used with bactericidal amoxicillin. You may use the estolate salt of erythromycin in high concentration, when it may be bactericidal and then you may get better result with combination.

∙ 12y agoonly under doctor supervision.he may adjust the dose of oxy because the erythromycin inhibits the metabolism of the oxy so it would seem like taking more oxy
