Weak battery and no gas can both cause a no start.Weak battery and no gas can both cause a no start.
i had this happen to me it turned out to be a dead battery
Assumiing your car is now dead, you have nothing to lose by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes. Then re connect it. That is what worked on a LaSabre that ran out of gas and then played dead, not responding when the ignition key was turned. After adding gas we simply disconnected the battery then reconnected and all was well.
dead battery

It has a dead battery, gas will not help this condition. LOL. They is a manual release in the passenger door that will open the fuel door, but you still need a battery.
Car battery polarity can only reverse if the battery is completely dead and then charged with the neg. and pos. leads of the charger are reversed. This is very dangerous as hydrogen gas which is given of buy a dead battery may explode and cause personal inguiry.Likewise if the car's battery cables are accidently reversed while the battery is dead. A dead battery would cause an 89 YZ250 not to start. Another reason it might not start is because it is out of gas.
There may be many reasons why a 97 Plymouth Breeze won't start after running it out of gas. Even after you've put gas back in, if the spark plugs are bad or the battery is dead, the car will not start.
Your Honda Prelude might not start because of a dead battery or an empty gas tank. It may also not start due to a damaged starter or a battery that is disconnected.
