Yes. Scabies can be passed through the mouth, as I know first hand about the capabilities of scabies, and their resistance to permethrin/lindane. These mites are brutal, they will move through your face, and once they are on your lip - they will go over and down into your mouth. WATCH OUT, if you do see this happen... TREAT IMMEDIATELY, as I learned the hard way (still infected) and I am loosing my teeth now!!! If you can believe this, the scabie (maybe more then one) went over my lip into my gum, I seen it happen I cut my gum open with a exacto trying to stop it, but it went into a front tooth, and I now have a large hole (4mm) in a circular shape in one of my front teeth. I have crusted scabies which has been in me for almost 1 year now, I have had 11 mis-diagnosed doctor visits, two were the hospital! I am living within a nightmare. My scabies came from a stray cat.... I still let him in cause hes cold.... But I know he has scabies too, animal scabies shouldn't effect humans? But I clearly got it VERY bad!!!
