I assume you mean scoliosis. Scoliosis is a curvature of the spine that occurs naturally in people. It is genetically inherited. The curvature is either a C or an S shape. Many people who have scoliosis have such a mild form of it that they don't need to do anything to treat it. It just stays as it is and doesn't affect their health.
Some people suffer more severe socioliosis. It is possible to detect it when a person bends over to touch their toes. One shoulder and one hip is higher than the other.
Initially sometimes a strong girdle/brace is used to treat scoliosis without surgery. There are mixed results on that one.
When all else fails surgery is required. It is a painful surgery. Plates have to be inserted into the person's back in front of and behind the spinal column. They are held in place with nuts and bolts. These plates and the nuts and bolts are never removed or the scoliosis will return.
It is a long, painful recovery. Teenagers and children tend to recover faster than adults but it can take up to one year to feel completely functional and healthy again.
