Whenever you play sonic heroes or shadow the hedgehog both games have shadow not remembering maria's wish and again hopes to give her the revenge she wants. He will never kill sonic because like i said he just doesn't know his purpose and that's why he's bad but when his purpose is to kill sonic then that will happen.
