Crust, not rust. The main problem with running regular water over AC units is the building up of the minerals on the heat exchanging portion of the unit. The crust created insulates and degrades the system's ability cool over the long run. Depending on how hard the water is, it can rapidly shorten the lifespan of the unit.

Some systems are designed to run with water cooling in mind. Those will have special designs to prevent mineral issues. The most common units around homes will be air cool only though.

What is the voltage to a sprinkler valve from the control panel?

Most common North American garden sprinkler systems use 24 volts AC. The control units usually plug into a common 120 volt AC receptacle. Inside the control unit there is a transformer that reduces the voltage from 120 volts to 24 volts AC. If you look on the side of the sprinkler valve coil you will see the voltage and the amperage draw of the coil. It is the amperage draw of the coils that determines the number of sprinkler that should be on one sprinkler branch from the main water manifold. The total amperage of the circuit determines what the size of the wire should be to control the sprinkler coils.

Window inserted new 15k ac unit shoots water droplets out of the blower vent it blows cold air but water drops are annoying why is this happeneng outside temp is 85-105 humid or is it bad?

if your window unit is setting too level, the water can not escape. proper setting of a window unit would be at a SLIGHT tilt so the water can run to the back (outside) of the unit and drain outside. If the water lays in the pan of the unit it will eventually rust through the drip pan and the blower can bow water back into your room. Hope this helped.

How many unit consume 1.5 ton ac?

4.5 units

What is the wire size for 50 amp breaker to ac unit?

6millimeter square.

Should the outside unit be running when you use the fan or on option instead of turning on the AC?

The outdoor unit only runs in the AC mode(unless it is a heat pump). If you have the system off and the fan on, the outdoor unit should not be on. You can run the indoor fan only without harming the system.

Why don't people capture the water from their AC unit and drink it as pure water?

Although it is a good thought...it is not really practical in that the AC unit is full of bacteria which loves the stagnant water..and the water is not clean of dirt either. have you looked inside you A/C unit? Yikes!

What are some things that could be wrong if your AC unit sounds like running water?

central AC unit - sometimes after any AC unit shuts off, you might hear the refrigerant gurgling in the lines, that is normal. window AC - older AC units had water draining out of the back end of it, this is the moisture removed from the air in the room. Newer AC units usually do not have any water draining out, the water is splashed on the hot coils in the back end, where it evaporates, which helps get rid of the heat and makes the unit operate more efficiently. it is normal.

Why is water pouring out from ac unit?

When the unit cools the air, the water vapor in the air condenses to form water. If the unit is in good repair, the water is piped to a suitable place of disposal, into the ground or into a drain system.

What does it mean when water is dripping from the ac unit in the house How do you stop your central AC from dripping water in the return air vent?

Water will condense in the inside unit of the air conditioner. This is because the coils in the unit get cold (ad expected) and moisture in the air condenses on them like moisture on a cold glass. There should be a drain inside the unit to drain this water. Check that it isn't clogged.

Why does mt ac unit sweat?

Cold air can carry less humidity than warm air so when the AC unit is cooling air the excess water falls out as condensation.

Is there a programmable thermostat for a unit that has 1 ac unit and 2 thermostats?

You need to be a bit more specific in your question. You state you have 1 AC system but 2 thermostats. What type of heating system do you have? Gas furnace, Boiler, Electric heat, Hot Water? Is your heating unit separate from your cooling unit?
