Cholesterol is a powerful antioxidant. It acts in places where the cellular need is greatest, such as in the heart and the brain, and in larger muscles, such as the thigh. If the naturally occurring cholesterol level of a patient is managed using statins, this anti-oxidant activity is inhibited and we should expect a muscular response. In angina patients, cholesterol can be administered to treat the angina.
As far as I know statins do not cause heart disease.
I have not heard of poisoning as a cause of leg pain. So in my humble opinion, the answer is no.

I am not sure the omeprazole causes leg pain, but I take omeprazole, and I have BAD leg pain and arm pain and cramping. I can't stand for anything to put pressure on my legs. Just my grandson's touch on my legs, causes me to scream out in pain.
The lower leg pain could be caused by the fall that just happened. Also the lower leg pain could be a bruised bone or a bruised muscle. It could also be a fracture in the bone.
any falls or accidents can cause leg pain, you may have pulled a muscle or ligament in your leg, go get it checked at the doctor. Leg pain can be a sign of anything from nerve damage to arthritis. Be careful and get it checked, as I mentioned above.
