I recently ran out of my depakote for three days.I am prescribed it for bipolar and I have never had seizures.I sat up in best and all of a sudden had a very bad seizure that lasted for over fifteen minutes.I had to to to the hospital in an ambulance.I didn't even know what day it was.I would definitely say yes.
Yes it was first prescribed for seizures, and later for Bipolar disorder. Answer I have epilepsy and take 2 500mg pills a day. Has helped me but can be used with other epilepsy medications to help improve the loss of seizures. I am also on Lamictal and Keppra.
