No the only way your eye would get that way afterwards would be a different type of thing to do with your eye. The only other way is for you to get pink eye. Because that happens after you get strep. You could have got a soar throat and then got an eye infection or you could get the flu and then got an eye infection. But strep can not cause an eye infection only pink eye.

Actually you can get strep in the eye. I literally just left the doctors office with my daughter where he informed us that she has strep in her throat and eye.

I also just left the doctors with strep in my eye. Same symptoms as pink eye but apparently harder to cure. The infection in my eye is also going down my nasal cavity to my throat causing me to have mild strep throat as well.

∙ 12y agoYes, you can get strep of the eye. It is very uncommon and very irritating causes extreme redness and inflamation to the cells of the eye with watery discharge and sometimes goopy secretions can cause blindness if not treated aggessivly or caught in time for antibiotics.
