Technically, for an employee to spend significant amounts of time doing other than they are contracted to do as part of their employment contract and using office equipment for private purposes, could be classed as theft and would certainly be deemed unprofessional. Many organisations have very strict rules prohibiting employees accessing internet sites which are considered inappropriate.
