If you're using a DS, you can do Wireless Trade Local or WiFi. But if you're using a Gameboy, you can't trade without a trade cable.
Yes but you also can trade using a GBA to GBA link cable.
Gold and Silver can't trade via infrared, they have to use the link cable.
No, Pokemon cannot be traded in or out of a Mystery Dungeon series game to any other game. However, Pokemon that evolve by trading can still evolve in Mystery Dungeon by using an item known as the link cable, which is found in the game. I know that this item can be found in Solar Cave in the older Mystery Dungeon games, in place of the Hidden Machines found in the locked chambers.
You must trade it from FireRed or LeafGreen, or have it traded from Pokemon Colosseum or Pokemon XD. In Pokemon C., it would have already been traded from a FireRed or LeafGreen. In Pokemon XD, you can catch it in Phenac City.
Mali, Ghana, and Songhai were the west Africa trading kindom. They traded salt and gold using the sahara desert. This was a time period of trading

Pokemon Emerald can trade with Pokemon versions ruby and sapphire through the use of a trade cable. Emerald can use Wireless adapters to trade with FireRed and LeafGreen aswell. Pokemon from emerald can be permanantly traded to Pokemon games Platinum, Pearl and Diamond by using the GBA slot.. =D I hope this helps =D
You cannot get these pokemon without trading. But you can cheat by using gameshark codes.
All you have to do is go to a Pokemon center and trade using a GBA link cable. Note that this does NOT work in a DS, so don't try to trade that way. In case you don't already know, some Pokemon will actually evolve when traded, so trade often!
Slowpoke cannot be caught in Pokemon Diamond. This Pokemon can be found on route 205 in Pokemon Pearl using the pokemon radar and traded to Diamond.
