No, you cannot. Xp installation CDs don't have product keys imbeded.
Product keys are not tied to specific CDs. As long as they are for the same version and are not blacklisted, any Windows XP product key can be used with any CD.

There will be a Windows label somewhere, probably on the back of the case. On it there is a Product Key. Write to Microsoft, give them the Product Key and for a small charge they should replace your Windows CD.
Microsoft has released many Operating systems that do not require a CD key. They simply just release sertain CD's that do not need a CD key.
If you purchased your computer from a retail store, it will have an authentication sticker on it, which will contain your CD Key. If you purchased Windows Vista as an upgrade, it will be on the envelope which contains the CD.

If your computer had Windows XP on it and you upgraded to Vista, I heard you could call Microsoft and tell them how displeased you were with Vista and wish to downgrade back to XP. They will then deactivate your Vista Product Key and give you a XP product key, you will also have to have a Windows XP cd.
