yes all ipods work with iPod docks All iPods with the female slot at the bottom (not firewire ports) can be attached to docks and so forth. Firewire iPods can only connect via the sound port (head phone jack) and the firewire port. If a dock does not have one of these, it will not work with that iPod.
Die in a hole
no, it doesn't have the 'signature' apple plug thingy in the bottom
Try a different set of earbuds. the wires are so thin and flimsy it is usually those and not the ipod itself or see if it plays in a docking station.
My iPod Touch which is the 2nd generation fits into an iHome so I assume it would fit into everyone because it fits into my brother's dock, too. If not, be careful opening the package and open it neatly and you can always return it if for some reason it wouldn't work.
The term Docking Station has become a bit confused lately. Some Docking Stations are just desktop platforms to hold your iPod while it syncs with your PC. Other Docking Stations are actually speaker systems to play your music through. And some Docking stations are alarm clocks that work with the alarm on your iPod or iPhone. All of these things are available from major retailers. Amazon has a particularly big selection. Just make sure you know what kind of Docking Station you're looking for.
Yes, the app textplus was made for the iPod touch. If it is on the Appstore for Apple, IT WILL WORK ON AN IPOD TOUCH.
You touch it.
No, it will only work with the charger it comes with, or any other chargers that are designed for iPod shuffle.

No, you do not need a Mac to have a computer work with your iPod Touch. You can use any PC that has the ability to run iTunes to work with your iPod Touch.
