Good question, but from what I have read/seen no, the hubble only takes pictures of distant celestial phenomena.

Why can't it take pictures of the sun?

No, Hubble cannot image the Sun or the planet Mercury. The Sun's bright light would damage the telescope's electronic components. Mercury is too close to the bright Sun to be imaged.
