the head gasket needs replaced.
I had the same prob, turns out it was a vac hose that needed to be replaced not the fuel pump
if gauge worked prior to pump change then you will need to remove tank & check wiring & condition of sending unit, they are easy to mess up putting pump down in tank. if it didnt work prior to pump change then replace sending unit.
you need a new water pump seal. also check to see if the shaft is worn might need to replace that too you need a new water pump
Difficult operation remove large flat plate covering serpentine belt. water pump is driven by that belt. 3 screws hold the pump in place. Replacement pump has to be properly fitted with o rings. Replacing the belt must be done properly so as not to disturb timing. Dealer cost me $700
If everything was fine before the new belt was fitted then the most obvious answer is that the timing belt has been fitted incorrectly and the timing is wrong.
Try flushing the heating sysem out your heater core may be blocked or your coolent might be getting old
the pump is in your fuel tank to take the straps down you will need a 18 mm deepwell socket and a flat screwdriver and a small hammer for fuel pump removal
Possibly the ignition switch is defective.
Could be fuse could be fuel line not reconnected good and sucking air. Turn the key to the run position but do not start have friend stand at gas filler door remove cap and listen for the high pitch whine of the pump. if you hear it look for leaks. if not check for connections and fuses
