A will can't make you a power of attorney. There is no point in making someone a power of attorney if you don't tell them about it. And a power of attorney expires on the death of the grantor.

Is it illegal for the attorney-in-fact under a power of attorney to remove funds from the estate after grandmother's death without the consent of the executors?

Yes. The power of attorney for an attorney in fact is extinguished upon the death of the principal. Therefore, the power of attorney was no longer in effect at all after your grandmother's death. The attorney-in-fact has no authority to remove funds with or without the executor's consent. An AIF who used their authority under a POA after the death of the principal is stealing.

How to remove unauthorized person from condominium?

Your answer depends on what makes this person 'unauthorized'. If the person is a squatter, you can call the local police with proof that this person is living in a space where they are not entitled to live. Otherwise, you may want to consult with an association-savvy attorney to help identify how this person can be labeled 'unauthorized' and thus, removed.

Can family petition to remove aunt as power of attorney for grandmother?

No. The only person who can revoke the power of attorney is your grandmother. If she is unable to act on her own behalf then a family member can petition the court to be appointed her guardian. If the court appoints a guardian the POA would be automatically extinguished.

Can your power of attorney close out a joint checking account for you?

Yes. The Power of Attorney entitles the holder of the same to do anything he/she wants with respect to the activities of the person who has given the power. i.e., the holder of POA can be the proxy and dispose off duties of the person who issued the POA. So, they can very well remove a person from a joint account held by the person who has given the POA.
