Yes there is single phase for 600 volts. It is used for lighting. You need a transformer which gives you 600 volts plus a neutral. The voltage for the one phase to neutral is 347.

What transformer do you need if you have primary voltage of 600 3 phase and require 240 volt 1 phase?

A single phase 600 to 240 Volt transformer using two phases of the three phase primary.

Can you get a 3 phase supply from single phase and how?

No, you cannot get a three phase supply directly from a single phase supply. Nowadays electronic inverter units can be bought that will do the job. For very low power loads the cost of such invertors is quite reasonable but for high power loads they are very expensive. For high-power industrial uses the most economical solution is to have a 3-phase service installed by the local electric power utility company.

What are the size and door requirements for a 600 amp 240 volt single phase commercial electrical room?

The only requirement would be the distances in front and on the sides of the service boxes for access. 3 feet.

What is the voltage of a 3 phase 4 wire 277 volt lighting circuit?

The voltage of 277 volts is the wye of a three phase 480 volt system. Just as the voltage of 347 is the wye voltage of a three phase 600 volt system. To obtain these voltages for any three phase system, take the three phase voltage and divide it by 1.73. 480/1.73 = 277 volts, 600/1.73 = 347 volts.

How do you get 277 volts from a 480 volt line?

All three phase four wire systems have the ability to produce a voltage to ground or neutral. Take any phase voltage be it primary or secondary and divide it by the sq. root of 3 which equals (1.73) and you will obtain the phase to ground or neutral voltage. The ground and neutral should be of the same potential and when talking about electrical installations these two words get interchanged quite often. Some three phase secondary voltages are 208, 480 and 600 volts. Electricians will talk about voltages of 120/208, 277/480 and 347/600. The first number is the phase to neutral voltage and the second number is the phase to phase voltage.

Can you run a 570 volt motor on 480 volt three phase power supply?

No, the voltage difference is too much. A 570 volt motor falls in the 600 volt range which is separate from the 480 volt range of three phase systems.

Can you run 22 kw 600v 3 phase induction motor?

Yes this size motor can be operated by bringing a 600 volt three phase supply to it.

What happens during the conditioning phase of laser printing?

What happens during the conditioning phase is as follows. A uniform -600 volt charge is placed on the photoelectric drum by the Primary corona.

Is sj cord rated for 300 volts to be used for 480 volt?

No. The voltage rating needs to be 600 volts for 480 volt power.

Are there 600 volt residential service drops for electricity?

Answer for USA, Canada and countries running a 60 Hz supply service.A voltage of 600 volts is not as prevalent in the US as it is in Canada. The US operates on 480 volts. These voltages are mostly used in commercial and industrial applications where large motors and large loads need to be connected. In Canada and the US there are no 600 volt residential service drops that I have heard of.All appliances for residential connections operate off of 120/240 volts in the single phase category and 120/208 volts in the three phase category.

What size copper wire for a run of 500 feet in parallel for a resident with a load of 600 amps single phase 240 volt?

This is a voltage drop question. A 500 MCM copper or 750 MCM aluminium conductor will limit the voltage drop to 3% or less when supplying 300 amps for 500 feet on a 240 volt system. Paralleling these conductors will allow the rating to be increased to 600 amps.

Yes. But if you don't know the answer to the question please hire a professional. The life you save may be your own.
