thermoplastic
LDPE is thermoplastic.
Acrylic is a thermoplastic

THERMOPLASTIC Linear
yes. it is a thermoplastic. it can be remoulded.
Thermoplastics can be resoftened and remoulded several times, thermosetting can be heated and moulded only once into an irriversible shape.=)
Yes. Thermoplastics are "heat-softening". Provided that you don't heat them to the point of destruction, thermoplastics can be remoulded and reused easily.
If it has the recycled number on the bottom (probably code 2 HDPE) it is definately thermoplastic. One characterisitics of thermoplastics is that they can melt and be remoulded whereas thermosetting plastics can not (they will char). Therefore, it logically follows that if it can be recycled it will be a thermoplastic polymer.
I believe that thermoplastics are used because they can be melted down again. This means they are are often used for things like bottles because they can be recycled easily compared to other plastics which cannot be remoulded. Hope this helps.
Themoplastics.
thermoplastic
The root word "thermo" relates to heat or temperature.

The term for reheating thermoplastic is known as vacuum-forming. The desirable quality for vacuum-forming is at 180 degrees Celsius. This is when it is ready to be reheated to then be reshaped or remoulded.
