1/2 a cup or mentholated spirits. leave the fuel cap off ( In a very safe out door place NOT IN the garage should help.. AS the metho evaporates it will take water vapor with it. Give the fuel a shake after adding it to mix the metho with the water.

How can I effectively remove water from gasoline?

To effectively remove water from gasoline, you can use a water-absorbing product like a fuel additive or a water separator. These products work by binding to the water molecules in the gasoline, allowing them to be separated and removed. It is important to follow the instructions provided by the product manufacturer to ensure safe and effective removal of water from gasoline.

How do you filter dust rust and water from gasoline?

1. Rust and dust are removed with an adequate filter. 2. To remove the water see the link below.

If you have water in your gas tank will you know it before you run low on gas?

It is hard to know when you have water in your gas tank. However, that is no longer the problem that it used to be in the United States. Most of the gasoline in the United States contains alcohol. The alcohol makes the water mix with the gasoline. As water condenses in the gas tank it mixes with the gasoline and is removed in the engine exhaust.

Does gasoline dissolve in in water?

No. Gasoline is an oil product and does not mix with water.

Does the Gasoline is denser than pure water?

Yes, gasoline is less dense than pure water. Gasoline has a lower density than water, which is why gasoline floats on top of water if they are mixed together.

Why do cars work with gasoline and not water?

Because water is not a flammable substance and gasoline is.

Which has greater mass water or gasoline?

Gasoline has greater mass than water because gasoline is less dense than water, meaning the same volume of gasoline weighs more than the same volume of water.

When gasoline and water are mixed together which one ends on top?

Gasoline has a density of around .71g/mL while water's density is 1g/mL so Gasoline floats on Water.

Does water sink to the bottom of a gasoline tank?

Yes, because water is heavier then gasoline

What will happen if you pour gasoline into liquid water?

It will float on top, the majority of it will evaporate if it is out in the open leaving an oily residue which if not removed will emulsify with the water and eventually be broken down by bacteria and other chemical reactions.

What makes gasoline heavier than water?

Gasoline is made up of hydrocarbon molecules that are heavier than water molecules. This difference in molecular weight causes gasoline to be denser than water, making it float on top when the two are mixed. Additionally, gasoline contains additives that further contribute to its heavier weight compared to water.

Why does water weigh more then gasoline?

Water weighs more than gasoline because the particles in water are more dense than those in gasoline. This is because water molecules are highly polar and tend to attract each other. Gasoline molecules are not nearly as polar and do not attract each other.
