I say, yes waves can be concentrated.

In sound waves, a compression and a rarefaction constitutes a wave.

So, compression is nothing but a compressed form of wave.

therefore, waves can be concentrated.

its my point of view......

What is the point at which waves come together?

The point at which waves come together is called the crest. This is the highest point of a wave where the energy is concentrated.

Why is wave energy concentrated on headlands?

Wave energy is concentrated on headlands because the shape of the headland causes waves to refract and converge towards it. The headland acts as a barrier, causing waves to bend and concentrate their energy on the protruding landform. This concentration of wave energy can result in stronger waves and increased erosion of the headland.

Which countries are Guatemala's enemies?

Guatemala doesn't really have any COUNTRIES as enemies, most of their defenses are concentrated on crime waves.

Why do surface waves have the highest amplitude?

Surface waves have the highest amplitude because they travel along the boundary between two mediums, allowing for energy to be concentrated near the surface. As a result, surface waves experience less spreading and attenuation compared to bulk waves that travel through a medium. This concentration of energy near the surface leads to higher amplitudes in surface waves.

Why do waves crash?

Waves crash when the energy in the wave becomes too concentrated as it approaches the shore. This causes the top of the wave to move faster than the bottom, resulting in the wave breaking. The forceful impact of the crashing wave is what we see and hear as it hits the shore.

How do waves even out the shoreline?

Waves even out a shoreline by eroding it.The waves coming to shore gradually change direction, as different parts of the wave begins to drag the bottom. The energy of the wave is concentrated on headlands, part of the shore that sticks out into the ocean. As waves erode the headlands the shoreline will eventually even out.Tee Hee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ___------ -/---- ----\/--- --- \------------ ---- --

Where is wave energy concentrated during wave refraction?

Wave energy is concentrated on headlands during wave refraction. As waves approach a headland, they tend to bend and concentrate their energy on the point, leading to increased wave height and stronger wave action compared to the neighboring areas.

What does it mean for light to be coherent?

Coherent light is light that has a fixed phase relationship between its waves, meaning the peaks and troughs of the waves are aligned. This property allows coherent light to produce interference patterns, such as in laser beams, where the waves reinforce each other to create a concentrated and powerful light source.

How do the waves wavelength and wave height change as it approaches the shoreline?

As ocean waves approach the shoreline, their wavelength decreases due to the changing water depth which causes the wave to slow down. The wave height typically increases as the sea floor rises and the wave energy is concentrated. This can result in waves breaking and crashing onto the shore.

Are the vibration of an earthquake are the stongest?

the epicenter is where the waves will be felt the strongest, because they are most concentrated. How much they are felt also depends on how far under ground the seismic activity occurs

What light is produced by lasers?

Lasers produce coherent light, which means the waves are aligned and have a consistent phase. This produces a concentrated, intense beam of light with very little divergence.
