why not? independetly of the "church" , Christ died for all tribes, tongues, nations, peoples.; just be careful to what kinds of "doctrines" you get involved. If it is not biblical or its in the word of God, let it be cursed--------reject it.

You don't join in the Church of God In Christ, you are born in. You will truly understand once you are a member. There are COGIC churches throughout the Continental United States and abroad.

Do people join the Mormons to be a part of their community but leave once they figure out it is not true?

Yes. People leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) every day - thousands leave the Church each year. This is a very common thing. If you join the Church and then decide you no longer want to be a member, you can simply stop attending services. You may also choose to have your name officially removed from church records, simply ask the bishop of your congregation to do so.

What does watch care mean in baptist church?

The congregation votes on membership in the church. To join a church a person professes belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and confess their repentance from sin. The congregation may put a person in watchcare to determine someones commitment to the church and Jesus Christ. When I was 7 years old I professed my allegiance to Christ at the same time that my older sister did. I was put into watchcare and later that year was admitted into the church.
