No - you must activate it with HSBC directly. They need to know (a) you've received the card and (b) that you are the legitimate account holder !
Internet banking is something that a few people just never want to try. Some people just aren’t acclimated to what internet banking has to offer them. It can be extremely easy to do some banking via the internet, but you do need to know what you’re doing. Your bank should be able to help you in your online banking journey. There are some things you need to fully inquire about at the bank that you plan on having the internet banking option through. You need to know if their internet banking system is perfectly easy to use. If you have to go through a complicated process in order to learn how to use internet banking, it is sometimes not worth it. Internet banking through any bank should be easy to use, and it should be easy for you to access your account(s) at any time you desire to access them.Ask your bank if they have a tutorial that can teach you how to use the internet banking system. If they don’t, then do ask them if one of the bankers or tellers could take the time to show you how to use it. If your bank doesn’t accommodate you with either a tutorial or a walk-through, then it may be time to learn about internet banking at another bank – take your business elsewhere.Inquire at your bank as to whether or not their internet banking system is tremendously secure - this is very important. You do not want to do internet banking activities on a server that isn’t secure. The bank may be able to give you an informational brochure regarding how secure their internet banking service is.Some banking facilities may require that you have the internet banking service completely activated before using it – this may mean you have to visit a bank (in person) to activate it. This can seem like an unnecessary trip to your bank, but it’s really a good idea as it confirms your identity at the bank (and also allows you some time to ask the bank questions about their internet banking service).
You don't "activate it". You either buy it in a store/internet or you could play a demo of it on your psp. (I bought it so I don't know how you get the demo.)
Either apple or at&t because you need a special sim card
