If you want to go from a 14st gauge to a 12st gauge, you need larger sizes needles.
Depends on who you're knitting it for. measure the person you're knitting it for and adjust the width of it accordingly.
To create a knotted openwork pattern in knitting, you'll typically use a combination of yarn overs and knit two together (K2tog) stitches to form the open spaces. Start by knitting a base row, then on the next row, yarn over to create an open stitch, followed by K2tog to close the knot. Repeat this pattern across the row and continue for subsequent rows, maintaining the established pattern. Adjust the number of yarn overs and K2tog as desired for the size of the knots and the openness of the fabric.
One really easy way to do it is to use heavier yarn & bigger needles than what is called for in the pattern. For example: a ladies size small sweater knitted with DK or sportweight yarn with size 5-7 needles would be larger, size-wise, if knitted with worsted weight or bulky yarn on size 8-10 needles. You can use the same yarn & just knit with bigger needles, but this will result in a more loosely woven fabric & change the look of the piece significantly. If planning on making a pattern several sizes bigger, however, I would add stitches. This is easy to do in a patern where there is a significant amount of stockinette stitch used. However, it does tend to get a little more difficult if using pattern stitches. Remember to swatch, so you know your gauge, and if increasing a pattern repeat to make larger, be sure to cast on enough stitches.
Your knitting machine may skip stitches due to several reasons, such as incorrect tension settings, a dirty or malfunctioning needle, or the use of incompatible yarn. Ensure that the needles are properly seated and free from debris, and check that the yarn is appropriate for your machine's specifications. Additionally, inspect the tension dial and adjust it as needed to achieve a consistent stitch formation. If the problem persists, consider consulting the machine's manual for troubleshooting tips.
If you are knitting without a garment pattern. It's nearly impossible to translate people sizes from clothes to knitting. Unless a size determines "inches", sizes are not really determined and regulated for uniformity. They are set as a rule of thumb and each design company establishes what is a specific size. That's why clothes run bigger or smaller and not an exact fit. Also the marketing value, specially for female clothes, of wearing something that says size 2 and fits like a glove when you really are not a size2.
In the UK, you can use "double knit" (DK) yarn as a substitute for medium weight worsted weight yarn, although DK is slightly lighter. For this type of yarn, using 4mm to 5mm (US size 6 to 8) knitting needles is generally recommended, depending on your desired fabric density. Always check your gauge and adjust your needle size accordingly to achieve the best results for your project.
To adjust for the changing (dropping) voltage of the internal battery, so you can still get accurate readings. When you can no longer adjust to zero, replace the battery(s).

To upgrade your bathroom with a changing shower head, you can simply unscrew your current shower head and replace it with a new one that offers different spray settings. This can enhance your shower experience by allowing you to adjust the water flow and pattern to suit your preferences.
To adjust a sprinkler for proper watering coverage, first identify any dry spots in the lawn. Then, adjust the sprinkler head to ensure it covers these areas by rotating it or changing the spray pattern. Test the coverage by running the sprinkler and making further adjustments as needed until the entire area is evenly watered.
