Guinea Pigs should be bathed in low, warm water, with baby shampoo. Hold your Pig while bathing, or put in a little basket so then you can wash him/her easier. Keep the water/soap out of his/her eyes, and when your done dry her/him.
Conditioner is not really needed, your Guinea shouldn't get knots in its fur or anything. Shampoo should work fine. Special Guinea Pig made soap, or shampoo is okay, but make sure not to get any in it's eyes. Johnson's shampoo I do not recommend, because some of the contents could hurt your Guinea. Get the 'Tear Free' kind, and that should be great.
Try using a ferret or other small animal shampoo, such as a rabbit shampoo. If that is not available, try a dog or cat shampoo. If available, try looking for a ferret or other small animal shampoo first, since this will be the closest thing to your Guinea Pig. However, most shampoos for humans that say they were tested on animals usually work safe on them. Guinea pigs do usually not like being wet, so try not washing him or her too much. You can also use a baby shampoo.
Guinea Pigs do have a shampoo. I got a bottle of shampoo for Guinea Pigs at an all animal shop.Mine's called Premium Small Animal Shampoo. You can use it on rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. It also conditions and deoderizes. If you don't know already there is also a Coat Refreshener. It's all by a company called Pet Scensations.
Baby shampoo is fine to use on your guinea pig.
You can get special guinea pig shampoos but these are quite hard to find.
Please make sure you know how to bathe your guinea pig correctly or it can be potentially harmful.
Good luck!
no,you do not, humans sometimes dont use shampoo.Eether way you can youse shampoo or you dont youse shampoo.
Yes. Baby shampoo is fine to use on your guinea pig, I have used it myself!
(Please make sure you know how to wash your guinea pig correctly or it can be potentially harmful!)
You should use guinea pig shampoo which you can get from your vet.
You could probably bathe them with a very mild baby shampoo, but using puppy shampoo or shampoo made for small animals is your best bet.
Yes. Use a kitten shampoo.
Sure as slong as it doesn't get into his eyes
yes you can give a guinea pig a bath with just water but they will not be as clean as when you give them a bath with shampoo and yes they do make special shampoo for guinea pigs don't use normal soap on guinea pigs you can find this special soap at petsmart in the guinea pig area
You can use baby shampoo
yes as long as you avoid harsh soaps , i use dallor store baby soap and make sure the guinea pig doesnt' ingest it or get it in his or her eyes
When bathing your guinea pig, you should be careful to always use the proper animal shampoo from a vet or pet store. Human shampoo can be harmful to the animal.
you get some medacation or give it a bath with flea shampoo
I prefer to use a special shampoo for small animals think it is by Johnson and Johnson the one i use it is very mild and safe to use on guinea pigs. never use human, dog or cat shampoos on guinea pigs.
I would not recommend giving a guinea pig any younger than 3 months a bath.
I you wish to give your guinea pig a bath or shower you, will need the following items. A large jug filled with lukewarm water, a basin/bucket/bath tub, a towel, and some shampoo/conditioner/soap. OPTIONAL: you could have some treats for your guinea pig :P To bathe your guinea pig, place him in the bath and pour the water over him. massage in the shampoo if you are using any. Wash the shampoo out using more water. Repeat the process if you want to use conditioner. Give your guinea pig rewards throughout the process. When your guinea pig is clean, take him out of the bath and dry him throughly with a towel. Do not use a hair dryer, as this will scare your guinea pig. Allow him to air dry in his hutch. I hope this was helpful! :)
about once a week
no because its not guinea pig shampoo so no you cant sori x hope dat helped xx
Guinea pigs shouldn't be bathed too often but you can buy a small animal shampoo from a pet supply store and bathe them in a sink with warm water.
