But for the sake of the question, people are people, and do what they want, regardless of God's commandment, even Christians do this. Many people just see Christians as people trying to be "God-like". Granted we are, because God taught us to be Christ-Like (definition of Christian~) but we aren't perfect like He is. So His will isn't necessarily peoples top priority.
