I don't see why a Christian monk would want to. The hours are long, filled with readings and teachings of the Buddha, there is a lot of study and debate over the Buddhas teachings (BTW the Buddha endorsed debating his teachings as a method of both proving him right or wrong and as a method of making his followers actually understanding his teachings through reason and logic, not blind faith).
