A person who has unfiled tax returns risks going to jail or paying a big fine. A person who hasn't filed tax returns may go to jail for a year and/or pay a fine of up to $25,000.
Al Capone did.
Jail is not a penalty for not paying a bank loan. The bank can bring a judgment against the person who does not pay the loan back.
You will need to ask someone at the jail where the person is held. The jail will have the information on how to get the person released, and if it is possible.
If a person is already in jail, there is no child support owed.
Not going to jail. Living a long time. Having friends. Having a job. Not going to Jail.
You will probably get arrested, in which case you can pay the very minimal fine, go to jail or fight the guards. Paying the fine for an assault is very easy.
With most violations, the fine and the imprisonment are totally seperate. Yes, you can go to jail for not paying the fine. But that probably will NOT make the fine go away (or the interest). Pay what you can. We ALL can afford something. Give up the nights out with friends. Your ONLY goal right now is to get that fine paid off. Ask your local district attorney or a lawyer, some jurisdictions will allow you to serve time in lieu of paying a fine depending on the charge, circumstances, etc.
No. A warrant is not a "ticket" that you can out of by simply paying a fine. A warrant is issued for one purpose - to take you into custody - and bring you before the court.
They may go to jail for not paying any debt.
Unless it is absolutely free, it's illegal.Example: If you download a song without paying, you can be charged with a fine or possibly go to jail.
I think it is but they shouldn't just let them go on a fine it gives them the message that they can just do it again and if caught (which they will try better at not to) they can just pay the insignificant fine and get away with it. Jail time should be a must, plus therapy and the prohibition of owning animals.
