Well for starters, you need the base game and The Sims 3 Late Night. You can't create a vampire as your Sim.Just pick Bridgeport (the town you will play in),create a Sim, at night go to a vampire lounge or a vampire household, get friendly with a vampire, then 'ask to turn' and they will turn you into a vampire.
