In North America (USA, Canada, etc.), first dial *67 and then the number you're trying to call and then your number will be blocked, for example: *67-1-999-555-0123. You can also use 1167 instead of *67 if you are using a rotary/pulse phone.
Other countries use different codes to block sending Caller ID.

∙ 13y agoWithout adding usage controls ($4.99/month) there is not a way to block a phone from making phone calls or sending out going messages to a number. You can however block up to 5 numbers so that the phone cannot receive messages or calls from those numbers by going to vzw.com/spamcontrols

∙ 13y agoYes, you're provider should have call screening, however is good for non business only. If you want to block businesses, there are devices you can buy that are very effective.

In the US and Canada, dial *67 (or 1167 on a rotary phone) to block sending your Caller ID. Dial *82 (or 1182) to unblock. In the UK - you dial 141, then the number you're calling. It's different depending on your phone provider.
