In North America (USA, Canada, etc.), first dial *67 and then the number you're trying to call and then your number will be blocked, for example: *67-1-999-555-0123. You can also use 1167 instead of *67 if you are using a rotary/pulse phone.

Other countries use different codes to block sending Caller ID.

Without adding usage controls ($4.99/month) there is not a way to block a phone from making phone calls or sending out going messages to a number. You can however block up to 5 numbers so that the phone cannot receive messages or calls from those numbers by going to vzw.com/spamcontrols
