Best Answer

yes, you can

But why would you do that. You will create a mutt that is neither breed and will probably have the worst characteristcs of both. By the way there is no such thing as a dwarf lop. They are called Holland Lops.

Yes you can, I knew someone who did. Let me know if you have any other guinea pig or rabbit questions!! :)

You can but why would you want to do that? You will create a mutt that is neither breed and mess up the ear carriage horribly. Your bunnies that follow the upright ear gene will not be all the way up and the bunnies who follow the lop earred gene will not have ears that hang all he way lopped. You will have a hard time selling them if that is your purpose of breeding.

Yes, you can breed any rabbit with any rabbit. They will 99.9999999% breed as soon as you put them together. If you breed a rabbit with a different breed though, you don't know how they will turn out.

What is the difference between a dwarf lop rabbit and a normal lop rabbit?

There is no such thing as a dwarf lop. The smallest breed of lop rabbit is called the Holland Lop. They are approximately 4 pounds in weight. Hi, i you sound very experienced and i am only a novice ...but i breed and have started to show rabbits and dwarf lop and mini lop are two different size class of lops ...mini is smaller than dwarf. The ideal weight for a dwarf lop is 4lb 8oz...The maximum weight for a mini lop is 3lb 6oz. Hope this can shed some light on the mini / dwarf lop confusion! I'm sorry but you are confused unless the breed classes are different where you are from. I raise and show rabbits all over the United States and the classes and weights for lops are: American Fuzzy Lop - 4# max. weight English Lop - No max weight French Lop - No Max Weight Holland Lop - 4# max weight Mini Lop - 6 1/2 # max weight Where are you showing rabbits at? What is a Mini lop?

The Mini Lop is, in fact, classified a "small" rabbit. In the United States, the average rabbit breed weight is 9 pounds. Mini Lops maximum show weight is 6.5 pounds. To give you another example, the various Dwarf breeds max out at 4 pounds. The largest breed maxes out around 18-22 pounds, but does not technically have a maximum weight limit. (That is the Flemish Giant) A mini lop is a type of rabbit. They have shotish floppy ears and are not MINI! they are a medium size bunny. they get their name frome their "mini" ears. http://animal-world.com/encyclo/critters/rabbits/images/MiniLopRabbitWCR_AcFpS128.jpg

Where and when were mini Rex rabbits found?

Well, they weren't really found; they are actually a fairly recent breed. Mini Rex were derived from the Standard Rex rabbit, which were imported into the United States from France in 1924. In 1974, a Dwarf Rex was bred with a small Standard Rex, which was the start of this breed. Their unique, dense, plush, velvet like fur was caused by a mutation seen in wild rabbits in France in the late 19th century. The Mini Rex was first recognized as a breed by the American Rabbit Breeder's Association in 1988.
