Yes, but most cruise lines will stow it away and give it to you on the last night of your cruise. There are some cruise lines that will allow you to buy a bottle of alcohol for consumption during your cruise, but these bottles are extremely overpriced! If I remember correctly I believe it is around $70 for a bottle.
Carnival Cruise Lines at the moment only allows one bottle of wine.
Each passenger can bring aboard one 750 ml bottle of wine at each port.
20 to 200 per bottle
You can take one bottle of wine per person on the ship to drink while you are on -board. If you purchase any alcohol while in port, they will check it in when you re-board and will send it to your room the night before the cruise is over. If you are trying to save money on alcohol, I know people who have snuck alcohol on the ship in water bottles and such. If they notice that the bottles have been open they will make you dispose of the bottles before you board.
No alcohol is allowed to be brought on board by passegers on Norwegian cruise ships. If you purchase alcohol, wine, etc. in port, they will hold it for you until the end of the cruise.
That depends entirely on the cruise line's policy. Simply ask the cruise line.
A bottle will usually state it's alcohol by volume (ABV) as "proof" . Proof is double what the percentage of alcohol is. So, a bottle of 60 proof spirits would be 30% alcohol by volume. The highest percentage alcohol in a spirit that I've seen is 151 proof, and that was a bottle of rum.
