Negotiable instruments may only ever be endorsed by the payee (ie. the person who can cash it), but many countries provide that cashier's checks are not endorsable.
any time only to take yhe cash...
If your name is on it and you have not signed it then they can not legally cash the check. I've seen someone from the mortgsge co forge the homeowners name to cash it before though.
They will charge you a fee for doing it, so yes you should be able to cash a check with the proper ID.
I want to have a cashiers check made out without the remitters name on it. Can I?
RECEIVABLE
An endorsed check is a check that was written to someone without a checking account, or someone who could not deposit the check, that has been signed by that person so that someone else can deposit it for them.

At the bank that you use
No. Cash is actual bank notes/coins.
No, obviously.
It needs to be endorsed by both you and the bank. If you try to cash a cheque made out to someone else without his/her endorsement you can be imprisoned for forgery.

Take it to the bank whose address appears on the check (as the issuing bank) and see if a teller will cash it for you.
To cash a cashiers check if you have no account and the check is from out of state, you need to go to a business that specializes in cashing checks. You don't need an account there, and it shouldn't matter if a cashier's check is from out of state, since that type of check guarantees the funds. You can also go to a local branch of the bank that issued the cashier's check and cash it, if there is one near you.
