What you do is wait for summer. Then go out at night with your net and walk very SLOWLY until you see a scorpion. DO NOT SWING YOUR NET AROUND LIKE A CRAZY PERSON!! ( or run around ) If you do that, the scorpion will bite you and then you will fall to the ground and wake up at your house. You probably won't see another one that night. But what you will do instead of swinging your net around is wait for the right moment when it walks right in front of you... AND SWING YOUR NET!! (before you do this, make sure your net is actually above it... -_- ) Then you will have a scorpion. WARNING: Scorpions and tarantulas are not the same. Scorpions are more fiesty and will attack more than tarantulas. Therefore, this makes them harder to catch. Hey, at least they're not as hard to catch as bees!
You can catch a scorpion during the night in Wild World, and they are on the ground, like mole crickets. They are extremely fast, and if you get stung, you faint and end up outside your house, so swing your net quickly! They only appear during the summer months, however.
If you are having trouble well then here would probably be a place to look still haven't gotten a scorpion but give this suggestion a chance Animal Crossing there is two ways to get the scorpion is when you are searching all around the town in September past 9:00p.m the scorpion might be hiding behind houses and if you run past a house with your net showing it will definitely come after you faster than you get the chance to run. So you better run and make a trap before you go after it. It can jump anything but not holes. If you dig two straight lines of holes going hozionally and then when it's coming straight for you hurry up and stand at the end of the two straight lines and dig a hole at the end trapping it on the one side. Then, dig another hole at the other end trapping it completely in the big circle or rectangle. Then pull out your net and nab it. The second way is if the scorpion bites you if you are to slow to catch it then don't frett. You'll still be able to get another chance to get it, because that's what happened to me. You will wake up at your house and then if you remember where the scorpion bit you then go to that place from the opposite side you came from the first time. Like if you came up to a house from running down then WALK up not run. The scorpion might be there and if it isn't then wait about 30 minutes and go back up. After a while you should see the scorpion walking around and if you see that...STOP RIGHT NOW. If you stop as soon as you get in a good position to where you can see it and maybe catch it then okay. Now if you pull out your net while standing at your current position then it won't come after you. It might see you and come toward you slowly but it won't get unless you move. Now wait for it to come to the side of you not far enough away to where your net can't reach but far enough away to where you know that you won't miss.
It is in Summer time, but only at night. You'll need to quick, because it'll give you a warning first of fast little stepping noises before it attacks. If you faint you'll start back to your house and the scorpion will be gone. It is quite rare, so be patient and good luck of getting it.
No, a scorpion cannot be caught in the original Animal Crossing for Gamecube. However, scorpions can be caught in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, which are the later versions of the original Animal Crossing. They are caught at night, between July and September, and are found on the ground. You catch them with a bug net.
Leave your house put away any equipment you are holding. Do not run, walk those actions may attract scorpions and they will bite you. Walk around your town until you find one. Lead it away from water by going in between it and the water. Lead it to either a cliff or the bus stop make sure there is an elevation between you and the scorpion, then pull out your net. It will come at you but can't reach you . Swing your net at it and you'll have it.
Remember they only come out at 7pm-4am during July-Sept
Hope this helped!
The scorpion only exists in Animal Crossing: Wild World, but I do not know about Animal Crossing: City Folk. It does not, however, appear in the gamecube version.
It's super hard to catch bees in Animal Crossing, but if your quick and equip your net when they are chasing you, you can spin around and catch them with your net.

No, you go unconscious and you start back to your house.
You pass out on the ground when you see a scorpion because it bit you. Then you will end up back at your house.

The scorpion.
the best way to do it is to not run up to it with your net out! creep up BEHIND the scorpion WITHOUT your net out, then quickly whap your net out and catch it :)
You can't catch a spider on any animal crossing game. It knocks you out. Put away your net when you catch sight of a spider or scorpion. Now READ THE ANIMAL CROSSING CITY FOLK BOOKLET!
Nothing happens. The fighting is just there to provide entertainment. No harm comes to the scorpion or the tarantula.
