You need to export the Quicktime video to audio only. If you are using Windows Movie Maker, you will first need to convert the video file to one compatible with Windows Movie Maker:
.asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmv
I believe the procedure to create 'audio only' is the same for both iMovie and Movie Maker. Instead of dragging the Quicktime file into the video track, drag it into the AUDIO track. This will remove the video portion and allow you to only export the audio.
QuickTime is Apple's media player and can play a variety of media files such as AIFF, WAV, DV, MP3, MP4, MOV other formats can be played with the addition of plugins.
rename it with .mp3
QuickTime player was developed by Apple Computer. QuickTime can play various file formats (MPEG2, MPEG4, MP3, DivX, JPEG,PNG,etc) for sound, video, text, etc. It supports also streaming format.
Did you try the software : MP4converter? It should work to convert your mp4 into mp3 music
If you have Nero Wave Editor, you can insert the entire music file into it and simply save the file as a file with the extension .mp3
If you bring the quicktime video into imovie, you can go into the export menu and export as audio. You can set it into MP3 format there.
I figured it out. Sorry. For everyone out there, You can take a .mp3, .wav, etc. file and take it into Quicktime Player and save it as a .mov file and this can be placed into photoshop. Now if this doesn't work, like in my case, if your on a mac simply change the file name from "example.mp3" to "example.mov". Your mac will ask if this is ok, upon saying yes your comp will change the file to .Mov and treat it like one. Still perfectly functional. Hope this helps someone!
If it is an mp3 file (the most common type for downloaded music) you can play it in iTunes or Quicktime - you can drag the song file's icon onto the iTunes icon in the dock to load it. Try double clicking on the song file's icon and see what it opens in.
It is either a Quicken Data File or a QuickTime Extension a Component used by Apple QuickTime Player; enables support for additional video codecs and file formats;
Mp3 is a file format commonly used for audio files. This is not the only format but is a very common one. An MP3 file, an audio file, is already a song. There is no possible way of converting an MP3 song to an audio song because 'audio' is not a format to convert to.
Nothing. You have simply changed the extension. That won't change the file format. To do that you need to convert the file with conversion software.
RealPlayer can play: RM, RA, Ram, RT, RP, PNG, Gif, JPG, MP3, SWF, SMIL, SMI, WAV, AIFF, MPG, MPEG, AVI, ASF, MID, MIDI, RMI. Quicktime can play all these plus many more. I would never recommend RealPlayer to anyone and never use it. I use Quicktime.
