Of course you can. I changed my first ones after 13 days.
All you need is a good astringent and cotton buds.
First of all, I poured a little distilled witch hazel into a small bowl (this is the astringent I used). I then soaked the earrings I wanted to change to in the witch hazel while I swabbed the front and pack of my current earrings with it.
Then I took the earrings I had in out, swabbed the back and front of the exposed holes in witch hazel and slipped the new ones that had been soaking in. It's a good method because I then know a little amount of the astringent is getting into the hole and helping to keep it clean.
DO NOT use saline solution to clean your piercings or earrings with! It is NOT anti-bacterial and it WILL NOT CLEAN ANYTHING. Sea salts are good for helping to heal, but they are not anti-bacterial either. Don't use normal table salt either as this contains iodine that WILL NOT help the healing process.
You have to keep your earrings in for at least 6 weeks before you can take them out or change them.
You are supposed to wait 6 weeks before changing them.
You have to keep them in for 6 weeks, but I would suggest keeping them in for a little longer, as peoples lobes have different healing times, some could be....let's say 2 weeks, others 6 months! =) As an average for all people, I think you should wear the same gold-backed earrings for at least 3 weeks, then you can change to other gold-backed earrings. Wear gold-backed earrings for 2-3 months. If your ears don't look ready, wait another month or two. Finally, you can wear other earrings and your ears should be fine.
After 6 weeks.
6 weeks after.
6 to 8 weeks
Your ear usually only take 6 weeks to heal. They can usually be healed before that though. If they look healed to you then go ahead and change them. If you want to be safe then wait the extra 2 weeks. Just listen to your body, it knows what's best for you. If it looks healed and doesn't hurt anymore then change them.
You need to wait about 6 to 8 weeks after getting them pierced before you change them.
I assume you're asking about an earlobe piercing. Most piercers recommend waiting 6 weeks before you remove any piercing. In my experience, sometimes even after 6 weeks I had difficulty putting the jewellery back in. If you're concerned, go see a professional and ask their opinion, or even get them to change the jewellery for you.
You will be able to change it, but it'll be a risk your going to have to take. If you were to change earrings, you might have itching and tiny ball-like swelling on your ear hole which is only temporarily for 2 months. If it lasts over 2 months, you may want to check with your doctor.
Yes, but clean your earlobes and the ear rings you intend to put in thoroughly with soap and warm water and put them back in immediately.
Because based on 1000's of piercings that is the nominal time period one should wait to change earrings in fresh piercings. because they coud get infected if you don't and in the beginig they need to stay in so the hole doesn't close back up!=) MaDiSoN!!!!
