The Westgate Bridge in Melbourne currently has solid painted lines, which in Australia mean strictly no lane changing. It's the same on almost all multi-lane bridges over water throughout the country. However it is confusing as the lines are interrupted by reflective bumps which are not continuous. But it still does count as a solid line.

Not many people pay attention to this rule though!

Usually, yes. However, there are some bridges on which you're not permitted to change lines.. the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on US Rt 50 in Maryland is one example. These will be denoted by a solid line separating the lanes of travel (rather than a broken line), and will usually be accompanied by signs informing you that changing lanes is prohibited on that bridge.
